What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is done by cryolipolysis, which basically means fat cells are frozen to death and are shattered. You don’t have to worry that these dead fat cells will go into your bloodstream and that you will have a higher blood fat level or place your liver under stress because studies show that dead fat cells are digested by white blood cells in your body’s immune system.

Studies also reveal that treatment would not be able to damage nerves or skin and that a single procedure can reduce the fat in the treated area by around 20 to 25 percent.

It may sound amazing but actually, this is only roughly equal to a fat depth of just 4 millimiters, although you can choose to get another appointment as often as you want or as often as your budget allows.

Fat freezes at higher temperatures than other tissues, so you can freeze your fat cells to extinction without causing damage to your skin.

A gel sheet is placed on top of the machine prior to placing it over the area to be treated. When the machine is turned on, a powerful vacuum effect pulls your body fat into the machine. For some, this procedure can be completely painless but others report pain especially for treatments in the abdominal area.

After that, you will see that the area of skin and fat that was treated had been frozen solid, exactly like a pack of lard from the freezer. Don’t worry because it will then melt down again in ten minutes. There shouldn’t be bruising or soreness.

Doctors say that CoolSculpting isn’t a weight loss solution because it can only get rid of a small area of fat. However, today’s equipment allows doctors to treat larger areas of the body like the whole abdomen.

Who can undergo CoolSculpting?

The perfect candidate for CoolSculpting is around 2 stones of their ideal body weight and has pinchable areas of soft fat on flanks, abdomen, back rolls and inner thighs.

Results aren’t appreciated instantly. You will see the effects in around 3 weeks and greatly improve by 12 to 14 weeks. To see if this method is for you, read more here.
